"it is our duty to concentrate on all our influence to make popular that which is sound and good, and to make unpopular that which is unsound and not good." -Joseph smith

i do not agree completely with this statemented even though it put out a good point. this is all i have to say.

SUCCESSFUL STUDENTS

PART9

9.... don’t dram for exams. Successful students know that divided periods of study are more effective than cram sessions, and they practice it.
If there is one thing that study skills specialists agree with is to not to cram. Yet so many students fail to learn this lesson an end up repeating it over and over again. Not clever, huh.

When you cram you are taking a shortcut and shortcuts cut you short. Also when you take shortcuts it makes you feel horrible knowing that you could have done better. Cramming for a test or project and expecting to make a high score the next day is foolish. Plus cramming does not help you academically so why do it. Give yourself plenty of day to take time and study the topic and learn it.

this statement is true even though many of us in the world would disagree it is.

Successful students
Part7-8
7…. Understand that actions affect learning. Successful students know their personal behaviors affect their feelings and emotions which in turn can affect their learning.
If you act In a certain way that normally produces particular feelings you will begin to experience those feelings. Act like your bored and you’ll be bored. Not only will you benefit directly from your actions.
8….. . talk about what they’re learning.  Successful students get to know something well enough that they can put it in to words. Transferring ideas into words provides the most direct path for moving knowledge from short term to long term. You really don’t know material until you put it into words. So talk about your notes with people that you know. This produces a whole host memory that traces that result in more learning.

reflection

this was a absolutely retarded story to be told if she wanted to cheer let her cheer to her hearts content. to me this was completely baffilling how stupid our school officials can be who give a dam if she cheer . her daughter may be the first one ever in the history of her family to graduate and they arrest her. this to me is absolutely crap.

!?!?!

Successful students
Part5-6
5. Don’t sit in the back of the room. Successful students want the best seats available for their educational dollars, but most willingly seek the worst seat. Students who sit in the back cannot possibly be their professor’s teammate. If your trying not to be part of the class why then are you wasting your time?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Isn’t there something else you could be doing with your time.
6… take good notes. Successful students take note and then review them. Why put something into your notes you don’t understand? Ask the questions now that they are necessary to make your notes at some later time. The whole purpose of taking notes is to use them and use them often. So that they help you improve your skills.

what time is it?

sss(student success statement)

"the time is always right to do what is right" -mlk jr.
i think this is a wonderful statement that is true to the very core .

3…ask question. Successful students ask questions to provide the quickest route between ignorance and knowledge. The process helps you pay attention to your professor and helps your professor pay attention to you. There are no foolish questions, only foolish silence. It is your choice.

4… learn that a student  and a professor make a team. Most instructors want exactly what you want Jthey would like you to learn the material in their respective classes.

Successful students reflect well efforts on the efforts of any teacher if you have learned your material the instructor takes some justifiable pride in teaching that student. Get to know your professor are to work together for a mutal gain. Be a team player!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

??????????????????????????????????????????????

Successful students
Part 1&2
Successful students exhibit a combination of successful attitudes and behavior as well as intellectual capacity. Successful student…
1…. Are responsible and active. Successful students get involved in their studies accept responsibility for their own education and are active participants in it.
Your own efforts control your grades. Active classroom participation. Instead of daydreaming and falling asleep in class or acting bored.
2….. Have educational goals. Successful students have legitimate goals and are motivated by what they represent in the terms of career aspiration and life desires.

Ask yourself these questions: what am I doing here? Why have I chosen to be sitting here now? Is there some better place I could be? If your educational goals are truly yours not someone else’s they will motivate you a vital and positive academic attitude. When you tire of being a student nothing can stop you if you aren't and don’t everything can and will.

Study for multiple exams –part3

English math and foreign language tips: Practice especially with

foreign language. It is hard to succeed in a foreign language if you are just showing and doing the work. Or if you send a simple text to a friend think about it can you translate it to Spanish or German? These are the little things that can help. Here are my final words of wisdom for students who want to get better grades in college: time management and organization are critical keys to be successful in college. Andf never be afraid to ask the teacher for help. They have office hours for a reason use them.

Study for multiple exams Part 2

Study for multiple exams
Part 2
My strategy for written assignments :{ 0 everyone has their own writing styles. I generally come up with an idea and do massive amounts of research before I ever think about writing. I always print out paper and comeback and outline the next day. I have to give my eyes a break from it and if I just wrote it I think it is just perfect to me. How I succeed in team projects: never assume someone is doing what they are supposed to be doing. Have regular meetings and have each member shows there work not just give you or the group their word for it.

Study for Multiple Exams
Part 1
How I study for multiple exams, deal with multiple projects: Really it is my time management that I explained above. If I see I have multiple things due or study for all at the same time I spread out my time beforehand. For example, if I have a test Monday, and 2 tests Tuesday then I will study for my Monday test Thursday and part of Friday. Start studying for my next test on the second Tuesday test on Saturday as well and part of Sunday. Then Sunday night I can review for my Monday test because I already studies for it. When that test is over I can begin reviewing for the other tests. My overall study method: I try to break it up over several days or at least two. I get bogged down if I try to pull an all nighter.
How I’ve overcome an initial bad grade: if I received a low grade I probably knew it was coming because I didn’t prepare properly or I didn’t use the right study habit for that class. I usually try to go over what I did wrong and sometime discuss with the teacher what I can do differently on the exam or what they suggest I do for studying for the next exam.
