Ten tips
for student success

1. Attend your classes. Remember in the
words of Woody Allen.
2. Know your faculty. Make sure you
know who your teachers are and how to contact them.
3. Make sure the faculty knows you. Sit
in the front row and don’t be shy to ask questions.
4. Use a daily planner. Note the dates
of exams assignments etc.
5. Be organized. Prioritize your
responsibilities. Use time wisely.
6. Know your campus resources. Make an
attempt to get acquainted with the facilities on your campus.
7. Take care of your health. Get plenty
of sleep. Make good decisions and stay away from all drugs or alcohol.
8. Work only as necessary. Try not to exceed
20 hours of school a week. If possible work on campus.
9. Get involved with campus activities.
Seek out opportunities to apply what you learn in class.
10. Keep your eyes on the prize. Clarify
your goals. Visualize your success on a daily basis.
