conduct your research with the attitude of a skeptic. as you examine for  clues that they're trustworthy ask these question:

• who wrote the web page? if you can't identify the individuals or organization for the information don't use it
• what are the authors qualifications for writing on the subject
• has the article passed through an editorial process designed to ensure quality and accuracy
•  what is the website's purpose look motive like selling products or winning votes that could result in biased or incomplete information.
• is the information accurate and or up to date
• where did the author get this information

thanks to the web information is easy to find. however its also easy to post stuff online. anyone can do it. 

you've probably used the internet to do research for a paper to help you decide which product to buy or to form an opinion about current events. looking up information online is fast and convenient. but when you do research it is hard to find sites you can trust. how can you tell a reliable source from an unreliable an one. also it is critical that you post online only if it t6hat which it is decent and appropriate never anything pornographic, vulgar, indecent, out of taste, or obscure. post things that will make a good name for you and your organization that will promote goodwill and benefit the world.

 after completing the chapter review your notes. identify the main points by looking for the most important points in each section. recite or write a brief summary of the assignment.

as you survey the text ask a question for each section. ask why, when, how, who, and where as they relate to the comment. heres how you can create questions:

• turn the title headings or subheadings into questions
• rewrite the questions at the end of each subheading.

write down your questions they help you pay attention and understand the text better.

read

read one section of the chapter at a time actively looking for an answer.to your questions for that section. pay attention to the text that is italicized or in bold. 

be sure to review everything in the section including tables , graphs, and pictures. these features can communicate an idea more powerfully than written text.
